The SS 317L U Tube is a special type of tube manufactured particularly for heat exchangers. The tubes are made in U shape and are used in repeating rows in the heat exchanger applications. The material has nickel, chromium, carbon, manganese, phosphorus, silicon, sulfur and molybdenum in its composition.

Stainless steel grade 429 is a ferritic steel. It is also known as AISI Type 429 chromium steel. This steel possesses good corrosion resistance, and its weldability is better than 430 steel. The following datasheet provides an overview of stainless steel grade 429.
